Mecosta County Clerk’s Office is the official filing location for individuals seeking to run for school board positions with the following schools:
Big Rapids Pubic Schools ["BRPS"]
Chippewa Hills School District ["CHSD"]
Morley-Stanwood Community Schools ["MSCS"]
The above school districts will hold their annual school elections on May 4, 2010 for the purpose of electing the following School Board Members:
"BRPS" 2 Members – 4 year terms
"CHSD" 2 Members – 4 year terms
"MSCS" 1 Member – 4 year term
To run for a school board position, an individual can either file petitions (with the appropriate number of signatures) or pay a $100 non-refundable filing fee. The filing deadline is February 9, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. If you are interested in running for a school board position, please contact the Mecosta County Clerk’s Office for the appropriate forms and additional information.
