The County of Mecosta is accepting applications for the full-time position of Building Official.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Possess a high school diploma
• Maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license
• One of the following with four years of experience:
registration as a Michigan Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer, Residential Builders License, or a combination of building experience and pertinent education totaling four years.

ZONING ADMINISTRATOR

Under the direction of the County Administrator, the Zoning Administrator is responsible for administration of the Mecosta County Zoning Ordinance and advises the Planning Commission and Board of Commissioners on zoning and land use. Bachelor’s degree in planning or equivalent experience preferred. Salary negotiable with excellent benefits. Applicants must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license
