Job Type: Part time Seasonal (Weekends Only)

Job Description: The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office is looking to fill a part-time seasonal Marine Officer position. This person will be required to work all weekends and holidays throughout the summer. This Job will run from the end of May to the end of September. They will be assigned a senior officer and together they will patrol Mecosta County’s lakes and river to assure that everyone is practicing safe boating. The successful candidate should posses solid leadership/take charge attitude. Must be able to work in a high stress environment. Must also have strong communication/interpersonal skills and have a good safety oriented mind set.

Job Requirements: This job requires a minimum of:
- 18 yrs old
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid Michigan Driver License
- Good driving record
- No felony convictions
- Must be able to work on a boat
- Must be able to back up a trailer

Specific Requirements: Must pass a drug screen.

Mecosta County Community Corrections is seeking a Compliance Officer. Position includes assisting the Manager in providing intake and orientation of clients for the designated program. Daily duties include, monitoring tether activity, performing PBT’s/drug screenings, fingerprinting, and other clerical duties.

Additionally, we are seeking someone who is detail-orientated, capable of completing paperwork within a timely manner, and has basic computer/typing skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

This Job requires a high school diploma, drug screening and criminal back ground check.

The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting candidates to fill an immediate vacancy and establish an eligibility list for a full-time Road Patrol position.

Candidates must be MCOLES certifiable and meet the following departmental requirements:
- Be 21 years of age.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- No prior felony convictions.
- Possess a valid Michigan operator's license and excellent driving record.
- Be MCOLES certified.
- Be a United States citizen.
- Meet all MCOLES employment standards.
