Services:

Provide nutritions hot meal to homebound seniors living in Mecosta County.

The Mecosta County Senior Meals Program offers a hot, delicious mid-day meal delivered to the door of home-bound senior citizens living in Mecosta County who cannot otherwise attend one of the meal sites, and are 60 years of age or older and unable to prepare their own meals.

For homebound seniors who need additional assistance with nutritional needs this program also offers a light cold evening meal, liquid supplement meals and homemade frozen meals for weekends and holidays.

All meals are USDA approved, with no salt added. Diabetic desserts are offered to those clients who require them.

The clients are provided with a monthly listing of meals received and are encouraged to contribute $1.50 per meal. The donations are used to provide more meals and serve more seniors. Inability to contribute does not affect he quantity or quality of meals provided to qualifying seniors.
